We are seeking an Industry Technical Consultant to define, activate and deploy the technical-sales strategy for the Nalco Water Paper Division (Tissue & Towel segment).

Location: Europe (flexible location)

What’s In It For You

  • Assist sales representatives in making industry-specific technical/application related sales calls and presentations in specific product and market applications.
  • Research, identify and define market and product application opportunities for specific customers.
  • Develop marketing plans in conjunction with field to capture identified sales opportunities. Conduct on-site product application analysis to assess and solve customer problems or meet customer requirements.
  • Provide on-the-job product and sales training as required. Identify training and reference materials needed for field sales training programs.

What You Will Do

  • Increase sales revenue by providing detailed technical knowledge and assistance during joint sales calls with field organization representatives.
  • Work with Industry Marketers, Corporate Account Managers, Account Coordination Managers, and field organization representatives to bring prospect company opportunities to successful closes.
  • Prioritize and coordinate sales opportunities with Industry Marketers, and Corporate Account Managers.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge of the industry by monitoring new developments, new products, new research, new concepts, etc. in the industry. Work with Industry Marketers and Research to take advantage of new technical developments through new products/applications/systems. Keep field organization updated with current industry technology and best practices.
  • Assist with launch of new innovation products/applications/systems.
  • Define product and service requirements.
  • Work with the field organization to identify and capture the impact of company programs/applications/systems in clear financial terms. In addition, to identify needs, problems, determine effective solutions and help document specifications.
  • Build relationships with OEMs and other market influencers including coordinating these relationships with the field organization.
  • Identify large account opportunities and coordinate with Corporate Accounts Manager.
  • Represent the company with industry technical associations and committees.

What You Will Need

  • University degree in Engineering, Science or related (technical) field.
  • Previous experience in the Paper industry including experience in a Tissue & Towel manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to educate and train the sales force.
  • Willingness to travel.
