The competition seeks wood-based solutions to global challenges. Six finalists have advanced to the finals of the competition. Pre-PulPaper will launch the Pulpaper Award competition of the Finnish Fair Foundation. The award will be given in the autumn.

The online event highlights internationality

Messukeskus and its partners now offer a virtual meeting place for companies and professionals in the field. In 2018, the international PulPaper event was attended by exhibitors from 28 different countries and visitors from 50 countries. The scheduling of an international virtual event takes into account participants following the program globally in different time zones, who can participate in the discussion via the message wall. The online event allows appointments to be arranged between companies and clients. There will be a lot to learn from the international online event this year and the lessons will be put to good use in the 2022 event.

” The big leaps in organising online events will certainly be visible next year, so that in addition to the event held at Messukeskus, the event can also be followed online in some respects. In the future, professional events will be hybrid events,” believes Marcus Bergström, in charge of the event, from Messukeskus. “Online events are not a substitute for face-to-face encounters and networking on site but allow for easy participation from around the world.”

The Virtual pre-PulPaper will be organised as an online event on Thursday, 29 April, 2021.Visitors can register for the event free of charge at www.pulpaper.fi.

Messukeskus’ partner in organising PulPaper is the Forest Products Engineers Association.

PulPaper 2022 will be held at Messukeskus on 29-31 March, 2022 at the same time as ChemBio Finland and the Helsinki Chemicals Forum, an international expert seminar on chemical safety.
