The Spanish paper industry finances € 250,000 for students of the new University Master’s Degree in Paper engineering


ASPAPEL, the Spanish Association of Pulp, Paper and Cardboard Manufacturers, which brings together some 50 companies that account for more than 90% of the sector’s production in Spain, and ESEIAAT (Escola Superior d’Enginyeries Industrial, Aerospace and Audiovisual of Terrassa), part of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC), have agreed on a scholarship-salary program to promote specialized engineering studies in Paper Technology, in order to provide qualified professionals to the industry in this sector. So far, the companies that have confirmed their participation in this unique initiative in Spain have offered a total of 26 scholarships that will reach practically all of the students who are taking the Master.

• Each enrolled student will receive, from different paper companies, between 7,000 and 10,000 euros of scholarship-salary to study the master and do internships in companies and / or the final master’s work

• The scholarship students will be professionally integrated in the companies during the time they take the master
