Lessebo Paper is a member of Paper Profile

Lessebo Paper is now a member of the Paper Profile, a co-operation with distributors and industry associations, leading pulp, paper and paperboard manufacturers which has developed a uniform declaration of vital environmental product information.

Paper Profile was developed by European paper manufacturers who use a standard format for product declarations and commonly agreed calculation rules. Issued for individual products, the single-page product declaration gives essential information regarding composition, key environmental parameters, environmental management, and wood procurement.

Additionally, the membership of Paper Profile reinforces Lessebo Paper’s commitment to reducing the mills negative environmental impact. In 2021, Lessebo Paper received Cradle to Cradle Certificate® at Gold level for its white paper ranges. Lessebo Paper is the first paper mill world-wide to receive a certificate at Gold level.

Since Lessebo Paper went out with the news that they halted the production due to high electricity cost in August 2022, the mill stood only still for two days. As of September 2, the paper mill has been running as a consequence of the slightly lower electricity price.

“The Lessebo Paper mill is at full speed, and we are proud to be part of the Paper Profile community, working together with other paper manufacturers in minimising the environmental impact”, says Jens Olson CEO at Lessebo Paper. “We are now looking forward to launching our new paper range, coming end of November”.
