Five minutes with… the personalities distinguished by the World BioEconomy Forum


The World BioEconomy Forum is a place of dialogue aiming to promote the incredible work ongoing in the circular bioeconomy to fight climate change and create a carbon neutral world. One medium to accomplish this is through the awards presented at the annual Forum.

The World BioEconomy Forum 2021 will be held in the Brazilian city of Belém, State of Pará. This year, the Forum will feature a new category: Start-up of the year.

New speakers have been confirmed for this edition, including Nelleke van der Puil, VP of Materials at the LEGO Group, and Mr. Ignasi Rodríguez Galindo, a Forest Engineer in the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food in Catalonia.

Before that, on 18 May 2021, the WBEF will organise its online  “Global Leaders and the Financial World” roundtable, with the topic “Bio-based Investments – it takes 3 to tango” Roles of private – public – institutes to facilitate investments to circular bioeconomy.
