Alexander von Reibnitz becomes managing director of the Association of German Paper Mills (VDP)


Alexander von Reibnitz will become managing director (MD) of the Association of German Paper Mills (Verband Deutscher Papierfabriken – VDP) on October 1st. He will also succeed Klaus Windhagen as Chief Executive Director on December 1st. Klaus Windhagen will retire on December 31st after 27 years in the VDP, including 23 years as managing director.

A 52-year-old business graduate, Alexander von Reibnitz was most recently a member of the management of Wort & Bild Verlag. He looks back on many years of experience as MD of the Association of German Magazine Publishers, where he was MD of print and digital media before moving to Wort & Bild. Before his association work, Alexander von Reibnitz worked in the consumer goods industry, in consulting and in the start-up sector.
