In the Science Year of bioeconomy, the sustainable use of
natural resources will be a key topic at the upcoming ZELLCHEMING-Expo
from 24 – 25 June 2020 in Frankfurt/Main. This topic can be experienced
at the exhibition itself and will also be an integral part of the
lecture program.
Bioeconomy is the topic
of the Year of Science 2020 initiated by the Federal Ministry of
Education and Research (BMBF) together with the ”Wissenschaft im
Dialog“(Science in dialogue) association. As such, it is also at the
focus of this year’s exhibition. “Thinking bio-economically means
knowing the cycles of nature and not only using them for the energy
industry, the paper and packaging industry or fiber-based products, but
also preserving them in terms of environmental and resource protection.
This requires research for innovations“, commented Petra Hanke, Managing
Director of the ZELLCHEMING e.V. association. “The ZELLCHEMING-Expo
offers a platform for this topic and creates first-class conditions to
accompany the new path of the bioeconomy. The social trend towards a
more responsible use of resources is our motivation”.
A
major goal in this context is the climate-neutral production of
fiber-based products. This concerns all manufacturing processes as well
as their production and further processing up to the natural recycling
economy.
Increase in exhibitors, especially for maintenance companies
Five
months before the exhibition will open its doors, approximately 70
companies have confirmed their participation – more than at the same
time last year. These include well-known industry key players e. g.
Andritz, Bellmer, Siemens and Voith, but also new exhibitors such as
Metso Germany. A total of three quarters of last year‘s exhibition space
has already been booked, the “Road of Maintenance” in particular once
again being very popular as a presentation platform especially for
maintenance companies and already almost sold out.
