The Navigator Company is participating in the event “Book 2.0 #TheFutureOfReading“, organized by the Portuguese Publishers and Booksellers Association (APEL) to discuss the future of books in Portugal and Europe.

António Redondo, CEO of The Navigator Company, joins in today at 2:45 pm in the debate “The Path to NetZero: What is the Impact of Printing Books?”, with Rachel Martin, Global Director of Sustainability at Elsevier (Netherlands). The discussion is part of Chapter II of the event: “From Ecological Footprint to Diversity”, which seeks to reflect on and find answers to multiple challenges of the current environmental crisis. Are books capable of transforming our world in support of the Sustainable Development Goals?

Over the course of two days, more than 50 speakers – including authors, thinkers, industry experts and representatives from arts, business and technology areas – are meeting in Lisbon to discuss the evolution of the book industry and reading habits. The event takes place at the Royal Riding Arena of the National Coach Museum and is part of the Belém Book Festival.
