Pulp and Paper Products Council cancels International Pulp Week 2021

Given the continued uncertainty caused by the ongoing pandemic, International Pulp Week 2021, that was scheduled to take place in Vancouver from June 6th – 8th, 2021, has unfortunately been cancelled.

Despite encouraging news in the form of vaccination programs around the world and reducing infection rates in many regions, significant travel restrictions still remain. The possibility of enforced quarantines, whether it be in Canada or in the country of origin, mean that despite a willingness to travel for many, the hosting of this event still remains problematic. Further to discussions with a number of previous event participants, the organising committee has come to the conclusion that it is in the best interest of everybody involved to cancel the conference for 2021.

“We are very disappointed to miss out on the opportunity to connecting with our industry colleagues and partners once more, but can assure you that we have already started to make plans to hold the event once again in 2022.” declared Timothy Brown, Vice President of the Pulp and Paper Products Council. “We will of course keep everyone updated once we have confirmed the exact dates and venue.”
