Munksjö: Bracher new CEO


Manfred Bracher becomes the 1. May 2023 appointed CEO of Munksjö (Aalen). He will succeed current CEO Tomas Wulkan, who has led Munksjö since 2018, initially as a business unit of Ahlstrom-Munksjo and most recently as an independent company. As the decorative paper manufacturer continues to inform, Wulkan will support its successor during the year 2023 to ensure a smooth transition as CEO. Wulkan will retire at the end of the year.

Bracher has many years of experience in specialty materials and coatings, most recently as COO of Surteco and previously Executive Vice President Hygiene & Industrial of RKW and Managing Director of Clopay Europe. The Austrian is an engineer and has obtained a doctorate in economics and business administration at the Montanuniversität Leoben.

Wulkan was instrumental in the spin-off of Munksjö Paper AB into an independent company, which is majority owned by Ahlstrom Capital. The company has announced that he said a strategic direction based on its comprehensive industrial and commercial understanding, Munksjö, strengthening the company as a global leader in the industry. He has been active in the field of fiber-based materials for over 30 years and has long been employed by SCA, Essity and Ahlstrom-Munksjö.
