Family Day for neighbours and staff: 1 500 guests took advantage of the Open Day to visit the world’s largest corrugated board production site

Approximately 1500 guests accepted the invitation from Progroup and Gatner-Packaging to their Open Day at the high-tech packaging park at Stryków. The two family companies organised a great day out with fun and games for all as well as lots of good things to eat and enjoy in addition to the opportunity to see behind the scenes of corrugated board and packaging production.

How is corrugated board actually produced and then used to manufacture packaging? This was the question that was put directly to Progroup and Gatner-Packaging staff by curious visitors during discussions as they were being shown round the manufacturing plants when they took advantage of this rare opportunity to visit the ultra-modern facilities of these two family companies.

“We are delighted and proud that more than 1,500 neighbours, employees and their families took up our invitation and spent the day with us. This wonderful day out with its personal and close contacts creates a sense of togetherness both for now and in the future” said Maximilian Heindl, CEO of Progroup, who also obviously enjoyed spending the day at the event with his entire family.

A programme for all the family

The stage programme was provided by regional and local organisations and partners: cycling enthusiasts could try out the turbo trainers and rollers of the LUKS Stryków Cycling Club.  The football players of Zjednoczeni Stryków were at pains to display their prowess in penalty shoot-outs into mini-goal posts. The sight of the fire engine on display at the fire brigade tent was enough to increase the pulse rate of technology addicts. And the TK Basket Stryków invited visitors to shoot some baskets with them. Younger visitors had not been forgotten: a series of bouncy castles and similar were waiting for them, or face-painting transformed them into brightly-coloured mythical creatures or fearsome pirates. And the Children’s Theatre, a giant chill-out area and live music from Sugar Free with Zuza Pycia made sure of an unforgettable day for everyone there.
