SCA has earned a place on the Carbon Disclosure Project’s (CDP) prestigious A-List for 2025 – the highest possible rating – in the categories of Climate and Forests. The award signifies that SCA ranks among the global top performers in terms of transparency, strategic sustainability work, and concrete actions in these areas. In this year’s CDP evaluation, SCA is placed on the A-List in the Climate and Forests categories.
“Being included on the A-List is a very clear confirmation that our sustainability work meets international top standards. Our business is built on responsibly growing and managing our forests while generating significant climate benefits. CDP’s assessment confirms that we have robust strategies, clear governance, and work that delivers real results,” says Ulf Larsson, President and CEO of SCA.
CDP is a global non-profit organization that annually assesses and rates companies’ and cities’ environmental performance. The rating scale ranges from D to A, with A being the highest possible score. This year’s evaluation included over 20,000 organizations worldwide.
According to CDP, companies that together account for about two-thirds of global market capitalization report their core environmental data through the organization’s system. The ranking is based on submitted facts and takes into account factors such as transparency, risk management, strategic initiatives, and implemented actions in each area.
“We invest long-term in our forests and their ability to sequester carbon, strengthen biodiversity, and provide renewable raw materials. For us, sustainability is about responsible management in every single action, as well as the bigger picture at a landscape level over time,” continues Ulf Larsson.
In this year’s CDP evaluation, SCA is placed on the A-List in the Climate and Forests categories – a ranking that only a small proportion of assessed companies achieve.
“Being recognized in this way gives us both pride and renewed motivation in our work. Swedish forestry has long contributed to global sustainability development, and we continue to take responsibility – from the long-term value of nature to the climate benefits we create every day through our products,” says Ulf Larsson.
