French speciality paper manufacturer Lana, which employs 67 people, went into receivership at the beginning of April and was finally placed into liquidation on 5 June for lack of a buyer. Lana Papiers spéciaux had been operating since 1872 in Strasbourg’s Robertsau district, drawing on expertise first developed in the Vosges region in 1590. The plant was bought by Danish entrepreneur Lassa Brinck in 2013, when it was owned by the German company Hahnemühle.
