Stéphane Panou re-elected to the Presidency of the French Federation Federec Papiers-Cartons


Stéphane Panou, Director of Recycling and Materials Recovery at Paprec Group, the French specialist in paper and cardboard recycling (2.2 Mt), was re-elected to the Presidency of Federec Papiers-Cartons for a three-year term, after a first term of one year, and 8 years on the Board of Directors, including 5 years on the Executive Committee as Vice President.

Stéphane Panou will be accompanied during his mandate by a Board of Directors composed of 6 Vice-Presidents: Magali Frontero (Ecophyse), Hugues BAPST (Schroll), Sébastien Ricard (Paprec), David Valour (Bourgogne Recyclage), Gérald O’Neill (Véolia), and Olivier Thomas (Suez).

As head of the paper and cardboard sector for the past year, Stéphane panou is responsible for Federec’s numerous actions with national and European authorities. « I am very pleased with the trust placed in me once again by the Board of Directors and very honoured to be able to represent the members of Federec’s paper and cardboard sector. I will do my utmost to continue the work accomplished with determination and dynamism. The regulatory news is going to be busy and we have important issues to deal with in the interest of our Federation. I would like to welcome the arrival of new directors representing regional companies whose presence will enrich the work of the sector and strengthen our territorial anchoring. »

Federec is the French Professional Federation of Recycling Companies. Created in 1945, Federec represents 1,200 companies, i.e. 2,400 establishments, from very small businesses to large groups, spread throughout France and whose activity consists of collecting, sorting and recovering industrial and household waste or trading/brokering raw materials for recycling.

This Federation is structured into 12 sectors and 8 regional unions.
