
The maintenance shutdown of the UPM Kaukas pulp mill, which began in August, will be extended for two weeks until October 11, 2025.
In additon, the UPM Pietarsaari pulp mill will be temporarily shut down for approximately two weeks in November.
“We are focused on ensuring the profitability of our business. By curtailing our production, we adapt to the pulp market situation and high wood cost level”, says Petri Hakanen, Senior Vice President, UPM Fibres Finland Operations.
