Persson Innovation, a global, market-leading manufacturer of sustainable paper handles based in Sweden, continues its growth journey by strengthening its organisation with four strategic appointments. The initiative is driven by increasing global demand and the company’s ongoing development as its customer base expands and projects become increasingly complex.
For more than 40 years, Swedish-based Persson Innovation has developed and manufactured paper-based handle solutions, establishing itself as a global player in sustainable packaging. Demand is being driven by the transition from plastic to more sustainable alternatives, creating a need for both technical expertise and a stronger organisation.
Over the spring and summer, the company recruited Jörg Storneke as Brand Owner Sales, Gabriel Johansson as Sales Manager Europe, Katarina Furst as Customer Support Agent and Joakim Björkegren as Head of Production and Projects, to meet this demand. The appointments strengthen the organisation across sales, customer support and production, all key functions as the business continues to grow and customers’ expectations of reliable delivery increase.
“We are currently in a phase where both demand and the complexity of our projects are increasing. To continue delivering high-quality solutions while creating room for further growth, we need to strengthen our organisation in several key areas. Jörg, Gabriel, Katarina and Joakim will all play important roles in this development,” says Andreas Carlson, CEO of Persson Innovation.
The appointments reflect an increased focus on scalability and a more structured organisation, where clearly defined roles and responsibilities are essential to meeting the needs of an international customer base.
Global growth with a focus on Europe
As part of its strategy for the coming years, Persson Innovation aims to further strengthen its global market position, with a particular focus on Europe.
“Europe has long been an important market for us, but we are now seeing a clear shift in awareness of the challenges associated with plastic, regardless of where it is used within a packaging solution. New regulatory requirements are being introduced, and we believe this will increase the pressure on packaging producers and brand owners across Europe. As a result, it is important that we stay ahead of the curve and are ready to support both existing and new customers in the years ahead,” says Andreas Carlson.
