OJI Holdings confident that the impact of COVID-19 will be “immaterial”

Oji Holdings Corporation, the Japanese paper producer, announced earlier this week that it would postpone the announcement of its financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2020 originally scheduled for May 15.

In response to the spread of COVID-19, the account closing procedure has been delayed as the audit firms require more time than at ordinary times for their operation. Under the circumstances Oji Holdings will postpone the announcement to ensure the completion of financial closing. The new date is May 25.

However, the company disclosed the following statement which can be seen as reassuring:

“As the impact of the spread of COVID-19 on our business results is immaterial, we do not revise our consolidated financial results forecasts for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2020.”
