Previewing at Packaging Première: Fedrigoni Selection – Shopping Bags, a curated collection of luxury shopping bag papers brought together for the first time in a single tool, and Terrae, a new uncoated paper made from recycled fibers and naturally derived mineral pigments.
A selection of papers designed specifically for creating luxury shopping bags – with outstanding technical and aesthetic performance – compiled for the first time into a single resource. This is Fedrigoni Selection – Shopping Bags, the new collection by Fedrigoni Special Papers, making its debut at Packaging Première in Milan from May 13 to 15.
The catalog features a wide array of papers grouped into five families:
- Smooth, showcasing smooth-surfaced papers in vibrant, luminous tones
- Reflective Shimmer, offering glossy and pearlescent finishes
- Circular, including papers with recycled content
- Textured Colour, a collection of embossed or felt-marked papers in various textures and shades
- Full Blacks, a broad selection of deep blacks ideal for luxury projects
- Essential White, a range of white canvas papers developed with specific mechanical performance characteristics
Inspired by the materials in the collection, Bespoke solutions can be created to meet brand-specific demands – from anti-bleed to scratch- and fingerprint-resistant papers, and even custom-dyed shades – tailored to enhance brand identity. Fedrigoni Selection – Shopping Bags opens endless possibilities for creating uniquely personalized, high-quality shopping bags.
The innovations from Fedrigoni Special Papers don’t stop there: also premiering at Packaging Première is the brand-new Terrae paper, made from recycled fibers and mineral pigments of natural origin, now joining the Materia Viva range. Uncoated, with a raw, authentic look and feel, Terrae is available in three weights (110, 210, and 350 gsm) and three natural shades: Light Umber, Desert Sand, and Iron Grey. Its organic texture and distinct personality lend uniqueness to any project, from packaging to creative communication.
From Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives, the spotlight will be on Tintoretto Gesso Re-Play, a solution combining the iconic Tintoretto Gesso paper – renowned for its felt-marked texture – with the Re-Play range. This innovative line gives new life to the liner, the silicone backing of self-adhesive materials, which have traditionally been discarded or only partially recycled. Now, through a unique process developed by the Fedrigoni Group and drawing on the expertise of Fedrigoni Special Papers, the glassine liner is combined with white recovered paper pulp to create a high-quality product – without invasive deinking and with substantial raw material savings. With 15% recycled glassine and a unique mix of virgin and recycled ECF fibers, Tintoretto Gesso Re-Play offers both improved performance and reduced environmental impact, making it the ideal choice for refined and responsible label designs.
