Eduardo Querol will leave his position as CEO of the Lecta Group

Lecta today announced a change to its senior leadership team.

Eduardo Querol will step down from that role and will become Vice Chairman of the Group and Special Advisor to the Chairman.

Commenting on the change, Dr Dermot Smurfit said “Eduardo has led the company with great effect and diligence during the very difficult time of the re-financing and of course COVID-19, leaving the Group well positioned for a new growth phase spurred by the successful conversion of the PM 8 machine at the Condat Mill away from the declining coated wood free market into the growth Glassine market, and of course further spurred by the improving economies which are leading to a recovery in many of the Group’s Graphic and Speciality paper markets.”

Eduardo Querol will continue as CEO until a successor is appointed.
The Board recognised that this new growth phase the Group will experience requires a new injection of dynamism in the leadership team and looks to the future with great confidence.
