Econvert Water & Energy B.V. is selected to supply anaerobic and biogas treatment for Norske Skog Golbey for its rebuild of PM1 into packaging paper production

From the fourth quarter of 2023, Norske Skog Golbey PM1 will produce 550,000 tons of recycled containerboard annually with reduced use of resources. Econvert Water & Energy B.V. will supply a state of the art anaerobic wastewater treatment plant protecting the environment and meanwhile reducing energy consumption. In addition to the anaerobic treatment Econvert will supply the biogas treatment in order to enable maximum re-use of biogas in Golbey’s steam boiler facility.

In order to have a reliable and efficient water treatment for the future containerboard production on PM1, Norske Skog Golbey selected the Econvert-IR® anaerobic reactor and Econvert-Dsulph® technology.

‘’With Econvert’s experience and track-record in the Industry, Norske Skog Golbey has found a partner which can support our goal to meet the demands for the increased need of sustainable packaging products in Europe’’, says Yves Bailly, Managing Director Norske_Skog Golbey.
