A compact, reliable solution perfectly suited for high-performance single facer production.
With more than 2,000 Single Facers sold, BHS Corrugated is today the most recognized and largest manufacturer of Single Facers worldwide. Whether cassette or modular design, with pressure rolls or belts, using either positive or negative pressure systems – BHS Corrugated offers a wide range of solutions, tailored to customers’ specific requirements.
This offering is built on the consistent performance and proven efficiency of our standard models: Quick Facer QF-P, Econo Facer EF-P, Cassette Facer CF-A, and Modul Facer® MF-A. All are capable of producing the flute profiles required by our customers across all available paper grades and working widths up to 3,350 mm. Depending on the model and production environment, our Single Facers can reach speeds of up to 480 m/min.
A performance and flexibility designed machine
The CF-A is the result of several years of innovation, building on the proven technologies of the Modul Facer MF-A while introducing key improvements. Its high-quality output relies on state-of-the-art components and a thoughtfully engineered design. Its compact footprint makes the CF-A an ideal solution, whether for complete new lines or retrofit projects.
BHS Corrugated has selected proven components from the MF-A — including the corrugating roll cassettes, battery-powered corrugating roll trolley, belt module, and glue unit — to ensure exceptional performance and reliability. The use of the same Inclined Belt Conveyor and identical machine hardware as the MF-A allows seamless integration and optimized process control.
CF-A vs. MF-A: complementary technologies
While both CF-A and MF-A feature a belt module pressure system, each model offers a complementary technological approach for specific production contexts:
- CF-A: Vacuum CR technology for optimal handling of light flute profiles, with flute change via cassette machine. Production speeds up to 430 m/min.
- MF-A: Overpressure CR technology for more complex flute profiles, with flute change via two pivoting modules including lifting table for 3rd flute. Production speeds up to 480 m/min.
Technical details: flexibility and automation
The CF-A is designed to deliver both flexibility and high performance through advanced features on both operator and drive sides. The machine includes:
- An SF Family IBC (Inclined Belt Conveyor), based on MF-A technology, with secure doors indicating machine status.
- Motorized cassette infeed and an electrical trolley for easy loading from either the operator or drive side.
- Corrugated roll cassette with vacuum technology, automatic line load adjustment, and integrated Steam Joints.
- Glue unit with Soft Touch control and automatic glue dam adjustment for precise application.
- SF Family internal preheater for precise temperature control and paper tear detection.
Cutting-edge technologies for better steam management and control
The CF-A integrates advanced solutions for steam and control management, including integrated valves for optimized internal steam supply and modern control interfaces — featuring a 19” Touch Panel with VisiWin visualization. The whole system is based on a Siemens S7-1500 PLC and a latest-generation PLC software to ensure smooth, responsive management of the production process.
