Lecta publishes its 2024 Sustainability Report

With sustainability as a core aspect of our business strategy, Lecta’s 2024 Sustainability Report again underscores the company’s progress in meeting targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) defined for 2030 in its ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) roadmap.

As part of its firm commitment to sustainability, Lecta details its contribution to 11 of the 17 United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) to promote more sustainable and responsible growth.

“Lecta has made significant progress in sustainability this year, earning external recognition from organizations like EcoVadis and SBTi. As we continue working toward the environmental, social and governance targets set out in our roadmap for 2030, Lecta remains focused on generating a positive impact. Our efforts are driven by a clear vision: creating a more sustainable future for the next generations”, states Lecta CEO Gilles Van Nieuwenhuyzen.

At the environmental level, the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) validation of our targets to reduce Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, represents a key step forward in Lecta’s decarbonization strategy and actions to fight climate change. Meanwhile, the platinum medal obtained in EcoVadis’ rigorous sustainability rating, puts Lecta in the top 1% of the best- performing companies assessed on the platform, and is an important recognition of our efforts to meet ESG criteria.

The report also provides detailed information about the areas of social and governance, highlighting the absolute priority the company places on employee health and safety across the entire Group.

In addition, Lecta’s close collaboration with its suppliers and their commitment to sustainability are vital for advancing together on this journey. Last year saw the implementation of a Code of Conduct for suppliers which, combined with the Code of Ethics and our new Sustainability Policy, is the cornerstone of Lecta’s business ethics principles.

“Creating harmony” is the theme of Lecta’s 2024 Sustainability Report. This concept, and the analogy with music, as a unique expression of talent, expertise, coordination, precision, and creativity, help convey the message that every team member is important, regardless of the task they perform. Just as in a large orchestra all the notes come together in perfect harmony to create the precision of a piece of music.

We invite all our customers, employees, suppliers and stakeholders to find out more about our achievements in the 2024 Sustainability Report available at www.lecta.com, and we thank them for their commitment and cooperation in helping us create a more sustainable world.
