Vietnam’s paper and pulp industry continues to demonstrate strong and consistent growth. According to recent reports, the sector’s export turnover surpassed USD 2.7 billion in 2024, maintaining an impressive annual growth rate of 10-12%. The paper packaging segment, in particular, is projected to reach USD 3.5 billion by 2026, driven by the rapid expansion of e-commerce, growing consumer demand, and the global push toward sustainable materials.
Despite this momentum, domestic production still faces key challenges. In the first eight months of 2024, Vietnam imported around 1.64 million tons of paper valued at nearly USD 1.45 billion, underscoring the sector’s reliance on foreign supply sources. Limited recycling infrastructure and dependency on imported pulp also pose long-term sustainability concerns.
As the market transitions toward greener practices, opportunities for innovation are accelerating. Paper Vietnam 2026 will highlight the latest technologies in recycled fibers, eco-additives, and high-efficiency machinery. The exhibition aims to connect manufacturers, suppliers, and industry experts to explore strategies that strengthen local capacity while aligning Vietnam’s paper and pulp sector with global sustainability trends.
