The promise of bio-based molecules on the agenda of the Atip Technical Day in Grenoble

For its second Technical Day of the year, the Technical Association of the French Paper Industry (Atip) chose to address the topic of bio-based molecules on June 25th in Grenoble (southeast of France). The day before, a visit to Fregata Hygiène, in Charavines, which produces tissue paper, was organized, followed by a convivial dinner at the famous Café Table Ronde in Grenoble.

During the day, eight presentations allowed participants to assess the challenges and proposed solutions. They were given by the Centre technique du Papier (CTP, with two contributions), Roquette, Buckman, Aquaprox, Lactips, Nalco, and Funcell. Indeed, in a global context marked by climate issues (pollution, depletion of fossil resources, deplasticization, etc.), scientific innovation must turn toward sustainable solutions. Among these, bio-sourced molecules are positioning themselves as a promising response. However, they will need to successfully combine performance, sustainability, and affordability.

As always, this event was perfectly orchestrated by Patrick Sombret, Director of Atip, and Virginie Batais, Head of Management and Communications. Atip invites the entire industry to its Paper Days, organized every year in Paris in cooperation with Copacel. This event will be held next November 27 and 28.
