TAPPI announces Call for Speakers for TAPPICon® 2026

TAPPI is now accepting speaker abstracts for its flagship event, TAPPICon® 2026, April 26–29, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Industry professionals are invited to share their expertise, research, case studies, and innovations by submitting abstracts no later than October 20, 2025.

TAPPICon 2026 embraces the theme, “Uniting the Industry. Powering the Future.” In alignment with this vision, the conference is broadening its scope to bring together even more sectors of the forest products community. Building on its robust programming in pulp, paper, packaging, tissue, coatings, engineering, recycled paper, and process control, the event will also highlight advancements in renewable materials, nanomaterials, and nonwovens. The program also includes sessions developed for management, young professionals and women in the industry.

“TAPPICon is where the forest products industry comes together to solve challenges and shape the future,” said Larry N. Montague, TAPPI President and CEO. “We are excited to expand our reach in 2026, bringing in more segments and amplifying the voices of experts in our industry. By presenting at TAPPICon, professionals have the opportunity to share insights that inspire progress and power the future of our industry.”

TAPPICon will feature a new program structure designed to help attendees maximize their learning, networking, and collaboration. This fresh format offers focused technical categories and streamlined tracks, making it easier for professionals to engage with the most relevant content.

To deliver the most impactful experience, topic-specific sessions will be presented within a daily structure:

  • Mill Monday – Real-world solutions for mill operations, safety, and reliability.
  • Technical Tuesday – Cutting-edge research, innovations, and peer-reviewed insights.
  • Workshop Wednesday – Hands-on learning with deep-dive training and practical applications.

“TAPPICon 2026 is going to be a powerful platform for presenters,” said Steve Ottone, TAPPICon Conference Chair. “You can showcase your latest research and innovations, establish yourself and your organization as thought leaders, and contribute to solutions that will drive innovation, efficiency and sustainability to shape the future of the global forest products industry.”

Abstracts must be submitted online by October 20, 2025. Submissions from researchers, engineers, mill professionals, suppliers, and academics are strongly encouraged.
