Starting signal for ZELLCHEMING-Expo 2024!

We are already looking forward to ZELLCHEMING-Expo 2024 with great anticipation – based on this year’s extraordinarily positive figures. In 2023, our three-day industry event with almost 2,700 visitors and around 150 exhibitors, sponsors and partner companies offered a wide range of opportunities for intensive technical information exchange as well as uncomplicated networking.

Positive visitor feedback

The survey of the participants of the ZELLCHEMING-Expo 2023 resulted in a very positive summary of the event:

  • Around 90% would recommend the event to others (consistently very high identification value)
  • About 90% of the visitors praised the various offers for networking, including the ZELLCHEMING summer evening (consistently very high approval rating)
  • 86% were satisfied or very satisfied (up 14% compared to 2022)
  • 76% rated the career day for young industry professionals with many innovative elements as very good or good

The group of around 150 exhibiting companies was also definitely satisfied:

  • 82% considered the Expo participation a success
  • 78% of exhibitors already planned during Expo 2023 to participate again in 2024 (up 14% compared to 2022)
  • Almost a quarter of the exhibitors plan to participate in the ZELLCHEMING Career Day 2024

“We would like to thank all ZELLCHEMING exhibitors and members for their support of the event, whether as visitors or in the program design!” says Petra Hanke, Managing Director of ZELLCHEMING Service GmbH. “The fact that the already excellent numbers of 2022 could be surpassed once again is thanks to everyone who contributed.”

Main topics up to the minute

Climate change has become one of the central issues in politics, where the focus is on reducing greenhouse gases in a socially acceptable and, at the same time, climate-protective way. A core mission of the ZELLCHEMING association is to support the paper- and fiber-based industry to play its role in the circular bioeconomy – and this thread also ran through the two-day conference program.

Another particular focus of the ZELLCHEMING association is promoting young talent through awards, scholarships, and financial and professional support – which is why the ZELLCHEMING Career Day celebrated its brilliant premiere this year. More than 300 young professionals filled the foyer and exhibition hall and spread out across ten customized program spots. These included, for example, the presentation of the ZELLCHEMING Young Talent Award, the keynote on the topic of “No need for run-of-the-mill jobs – What Generation Z really wants,” a visit to the Newcomer Pavilion and a live guided tour in ABB’s demo truck, as well as participation in the Paper Rally under professional game guidance.

The idea and concept for the ZELLCHEMING Career Day have already been taken up and brought to life by some exhibitors and sponsors – and many others are planning to participate or become more involved in the future.

“These key topics and formats will again play a major role in the coming year,” explains Helga Zollner-Croll, chairwoman of the ZELLCHEMING association. “We have hit the mark here and have already inspired leading paper industry representatives to get involved. We want to expand this further!”

“Our ambition is to make the ZELLCHEMING-Expo even better every year. Our new initiatives to push the number and quality of participants and content formats further forward, and to focus on modern communication, have paid off,” says Petra Hanke. “The feedback we have received so far has been extremely positive. We will build on this in preparation for Expo 2024!”

Save the date!

The next ZELLCHEMING-Expo will be held again at the RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC) Wiesbaden, Germany, June 18-20, 2024. The ZELLCHEMING Career Day 2024 is planned for June 20.
