The Paper Eurasia exhibition and conference, currently taking place this week at the Istanbul Expo Center, has positioned itself as a pivotal event for the paper and cardboard industries across Eurasia and beyond. Drawing participants and exhibitors from more than 30 countries, the event has become a key platform for dialogue, business exchange, and strategic vision.
Organized by Primis Expo with the support of CBBC, this is the second edition of this event that gathers local and international buyers from Turkey and the Middle East region.
In an unprecedented move, representatives from every major paper-related trade association are sitting together for the first time in decades to discuss shared challenges and future directions for the industry. This historic roundtable, facilitated by the conference organizers, addresses pressing issues such as raw material sourcing, energy costs, circular economy goals, and the geopolitical landscape impacting global supply chains.
Another highlight of the event has been the presence of a high-level delegation from the Iranian Paper and Cardboard Producers Association, led by Dr. Abolfazl Roghani. Their participation signals a renewed openness to regional cooperation and the growing role of Iran as a player in the paper and packaging sectors.
The exhibition also featured a Gala Dinner organized by the event hosts, bringing together industry leaders, speakers, and dignitaries in a festive and elegant setting. The evening served as the backdrop for a special awards ceremony recognizing excellence, innovation, and long-standing service across various segments of the industry.
Paper Eurasia continues through the week, with a program of technical seminars, business networking sessions, and industry briefings that reinforce Istanbul’s strategic position as a crossroads for global trade.
