Fibre Excellence Saint-Gaudens: restart on 31 May, before a major maintenance shutdown from 7 June

Following the authorisation received on 18 May, all the necessary repairs to the black liquor boiler have been carried out at the Fibre Excellence pulp mill in Saint-Gaudens (South of France). This included a complete overhaul of the combs and sealing boxes. After a new inspection by the competent authorities on 28 May, the authorisation to restart the equipment was issued by the Prefecture. Following the final safety tests carried out over the weekend, production has been gradually restarted by Monday 31 May, in order to put the plant in optimum conditions for the major maintenance shutdown which starts on 7 June and will last approximately two weeks. During this shutdown, numerous maintenance and modernisation actions will be carried out, with major investments (see our news dated May 20).
