From October 27 to 29, the Japanese pulp and paper industry will gather for the 69th Japan TAPPI Annual Meeting at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Chiba. Among the exhibitors will be emtec Electronic GmbH with Sales representative Mr. Daniel Ohndorf joining the company’s local sales partner Ms. Kazumi Tanikawa from Sanyo Technos Co., Ltd. to present measurement solutions that help manufacturers better understand their processes and optimize paper quality.
Four measurement systems will be at the center of emtec’s exhibition, each addressing different challenges in paper production: the CAS Charge Analyzing System, the FPA Fiber Potential Analyzer, the PDA Penetration Dynamics Analyzer and the TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer. These systems provide measurable insights into charge characteristics, fiber potential, liquid absorption and tactile properties, supporting applications ranging from process control to the evaluation of finished paper products.
Japan is a particularly relevant market for these technologies. Its paper industry is characterized by high quality standards, strong technical expertise, and a diverse range of specialized paper products. The Japan TAPPI Annual Meeting brings together manufacturers, researchers and technology providers. Technical presentations, the exhibition and direct discussions offer opportunities to address specific production challenges and connect measurement data with practical requirements on the mill floor.
For emtec Electronic GmbH, combining international measurement expertise with local market knowledge is essential.
“To us, Japan TAPPI is more than just an industry event. It gives us the opportunity to present our measurement systems and engage directly with local experts. With the support of our Japanese-speaking sales partners, we can discuss how material properties can be characterized more precisely and how production processes can be improved in a targeted way,”
explains Mr. Daniel Ohndorf. Together with its regional sales representatives from Sanyo Technos Co., Ltd., emtec aims to demonstrate how precise measurements can reveal correlations within the papermaking process and turn complex material properties into reliable data for informed decision-making.
Whether it’s analyzing fiber charge, liquid absorption, or tactile properties, making material characteristics measurable is the first step toward understanding their underlying relationships. At Japan TAPPI, emtec Electronic will bring together the right measurement technologies and an understanding of local industry requirements, creating a basis for direct technical discussions with paper industry professionals. Mr. Daniel Ohndorf and Ms. Kazumi Tanikawa look forward to meeting industry colleagues and exchanging ideas in Japan at the end of October.
