Papeterie Saint-Michel located near Angoulême (in the southwest of France) was placed in receivership on April 11. This factory, which produces some 75,000 t/year of corrugated case material (CCM), was taken over in 2011 by Maxime Thiollet. The mill was in particular hit by the sharp drop in the price of CCM in 2023, which, according to Copacel, fell by 30% (fluting paper), compared to 2022. The site has a production capacity (testliners and fluting paper) of around 75,000 t with two machines.
